Longarm Quilting Discovery Days - Monthly Full Day 10-5 $200/session

Discover the possiblities of Longarm Quilting!!

Have you ever wondered what it's like to quilt your own quilts on a longarm machine?  Join us at the Stitchery for an introduction to APQS longarm quilting and discover how you can turn your quilt tops into beautifully finished quilts.

Whether you're considering purchasing your first longarm, curious about our rental program, or simply want to expand your quilting skills, this class will introduce you to techniques and possibilities of longarm quilting in a welcoming, supportive environment.

These will be monthly classes with rotating topics/lessons each month.  Example:

Month 1 - Free-Motion Quilting:  Learn the basics of moving the machine to create loops, swirls, curves, and other beautiful quilting designs.

Month 2 - Ruler Work:  Explore how quilting rulers and templates can help you create straight lines, curvers, geometric designs, and precise motifs.

Month 3 - Stitch-in-the-Ditch:  Learn how to follow piecing seams to define quilt blocks and enhance your quilt design.

Month 4 - Whole Cloth Quilting: Learn how to mark your quilt for quilting and then quilt on your marked area.  This can be anything from a pillow to a full bed quilt.

This class is suitable for quilters who have made a quilt top but have not yet quilted one, and for quilters who may own an APQS longarm or another brand of machine but want quilting instruction.

There will be both a demonstration and hands on work, on a charity quilt that will be donated.  4 per class maximum.

We will not be covering paper pantographs in this class.  If you are interested in learning how to stitch out a paper pantograph, please register for our Rental Certification Class where this is covered.
